Join us at Steel & Timber to create your very own unique epoxy table. This course includes everything you need to create a 2' x 4' or 36" diameter epoxy coffee table.

Day 1 - You will start your day by choosing your unique piece of either Walnut, Cherry or Maple from our live edge inventory. All material for the course will be CNC flattened and ready for your processing!  You will learn the proper techniques to prepare your wood for placement in your form. Students will then select their pigments/colours before final mixing and pouring commences. Projects will be left to cure until the second day of the class.

Day 2 - Students will return to the shop and their table will have already been removed from the mold and flattened by Steel & Timber staff. The class will all participate while one of the tables is being flattened to understand the process. A large part of this session will address proper sanding techniques and steps needed to take before applying a finish. The tables will be squared off using a Festool track saw and/or SawStop table saw, and an optional edge profile may be applied if requested. Students will finish their pieces with Rubio Monocoat Oil plus 2c, in a colour of their choice. If legs are purchased from the store students will be guided through installing the legs using Rampa insert nuts and bolts.

All tools and materials will be provided, including: up to 12L of Epoxy, 100mL Rubio Monocoat, steel hairpin legs, a bucket, maple, walnut or cherry live edge slab and the use of an Exotherm Mould.

All in store purchases on the day of your course will receive a 10% discount.
